Comparing the X-T3 and the a6400
2

I've posted a similar question in the Sony section so I figured it would only be fair to ask here as well.

First some background on me. I am very inexperienced. I only take pictures of my family and scenery while hiking or on family trips. Recently, I have realized that I love taking photos, but up to this point, I only have my Samsung 10+. So I am currently looking for a new/used mirrorless camera.

I like to take landscape pictures, and one with my family in the landscape pictures as well. Video isn't as important but would be nice to be able to take good videos when I want to.

The X-T3 looks like a good choice so at the moment it is top on my list. I love the look as well and the options/features are appealing.

I've been reading posts all day about the A6400, so now it's time to find more about the X-T3. The X-T4 would be nice, but my budget is $1700, and since I can't find one under this with a lens it is not on my list.

I also need recommendations on lenses or at least one good one that can hold me over for a little while so I can start taking good pictures right away or I at least don't want the lens to be the reason I fail;-)

I also don't need to hear about all the usual, "since you are a beginner you don't know this or that" kind of stuff. I've already been given the talk, and I'm been researching this for a couple of weeks so I know most of the terms. Other than that I am all ears. I know I have a lot to learn, but I am at the point where I can't learn anything else until I get the right camera to start taking pictures.

Thanks guys!
