Show us your Foveon 3D

Was trying to calculate best settings for a '3D' effect today, using my various calculators for DOF, background blur and stuff. For the so-called 3D-look, I hold an opinion that the far point of an object should be slightly blurred and the near point of course in good focus. Won't bore you with the calcs but for a 1.7 crop Sigma, I figured the following settings and distances BEFORE setting foot outside.

24mm focal length. f/4 aperture. 1 meter from camera to point of focus. Calculated to suit object below which is about 13" front to back.

Posted at 1:1 100% crop with no great attempt at composition, etc. The distance from the birdhouse post to the shrubbery is about 11 yards which resulted in reasonable background bokeh - unlike the insanely smooth blur often seen in flower shots or (dare I say it) some "3D" shots.

Comments welcome and looking forward to seeing 3D shots from y'all ...

Assumptions are the dark matter of the internet; we can’t see them, but we know they account for most of the mass.
